Primary brain tumors that originate in the brain and metastatic (secondary) brain tumors that originate from cancer cells that have migrated from other parts of the body. Most primary brain tumors originate from glia (gliomas) such as astrocytes (astrocytomas), oligodendrocytes (oligodendrogliomas), or ependymal cells (ependymoma). There are also mixed forms, with both an astrocytic and an oligodendroglial cell component. These are called mixed gliomas or oligoastrocytomas. Secondary or metastatic brain tumors originate from malignant tumors (cancers) located primarily in other organs.

 Their incidence is high than that of main mind tumors. The symptoms of mind tumors bet on their size and position in the mind. Symptoms frequently are caused by harm to essential tissue and force on the mind as the tumor grows within the modest place in the skull. They may be caused by swelling and a buildup of graceful around the tumor, a circumstance called edema. Symptoms too may be payable to hydrocephalus, which occurs when the tumor blocks the flowing of cerebrospinal fluid and causes a build-up in the ventricles. These symptoms may be caused by brain tumors or by other problems. Treatment strategies are based on the kind of tumor, the stage of the cancer and the needs of the patient. Treatment usually consists of surgery (traditional or computer-assisted), radiation, chemotherapy ��" or a combination of those treatments. Corticosteroids such as dexamethasone to reduce brain swelling.
